Survey: Compensation is the Top Factor of Work-Related Stress in 2023
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and a new multi-year study found that discussing mental health in the workplace is still a taboo topic for some employees.
While many companies realize this, are they doing enough to support their employees?
JobSage surveyed more than 1,000 Americans to find out.
Key findings:
Mental health has prompted 41% of Americans to consider quitting their job.
An increased number of employees wish they had more mental health support from their employer: Neary half (49%) say their company doesn’t do enough to support their mental health in 2023, and in 2022 that number was only 20%.
Over half of Americans have taken a mental health day, but 48% didn’t tell anyone it was a mental health day.
The stigma around mental health prevents 22% (1 in 5) from discussing it at work.
Take a look at the full report and let me know if you can use any of the data for a story for mental health awareness month.
