In 2018, the number of channels earning six figures per year on YouTube grew more than 40% year over year!
To try and learn more about this, Shorr Packaging conducted an analysis of more than 1,500 YouTube user channels to learn about the growing impact of YouTube influencer marketing.
The study focused on the two most popular types of influencer marketing videos on YouTube, “Unboxing Videos” and “Haul Videos” and analyzed the following trends:
· Top Haul categories (clothing 59%), Top Unboxing categories (Toys 29%, Phones & Accessories 16%) Top brand mentions for both categories (Dollar Tree and Ali Express respectively)
· Global trends (The United States has the most active users at 39% followed by the UK 13% and India 7%)
· Estimated annual earnings for the average user (The typical HAULer earns less than $6,000/yr, The typical UNBOXer earns no money!!)
· A look at the top 40 influencers marking more than $500,000
