FDA Approves Your Poison
How does the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) get away with whatever it wants? Probably because the majority of the people working in FDA got their jobs by knowing someone in Congress or just by knowing someone yet never had any qualifications to actually be working there. The purpose of the FDA is to protect and promote public health through the regulation and supervision of food safety, tobacco products, dietary supplements, prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceutical drugs (medications), vaccines, bio-pharmaceuticals, blood transfusions, medical devices, electromagnetic radiation emitting devices (ERED), veterinary products, and cosmetics.
Health Care costs run over 2 – 3 trillion dollars per year. Tobacco kills millions of people per year yet is still being sold in every store that has the license to sell it. Prescription drugs kill millions of people over time yet the billion dollar industry continues to make drugs and keep people hooked on them until they die. OTC medicine actually helped bring about my mother’s stroke causing her blood pressure to run high above where it should have been.
How much food in the past few years has been contaminated with E Coli or Salmonella? Who is responsible for letting that slide? Who is responsible for the few dozen to hundred people that die because of this slip?
Lets dive into food while we are on the subject. Pepsi, Coke, and every soft drink contain well over 100% of what the body should actually be taking in when it comes to sugar. The majority of food in America is processed and then released for Americans to eat, branded as healthy products for consumption, yet contains more sugar, more fat, and more carbohydrates than what people should be eating.
Fast food is the biggest culprit yet remains America’s favorite sweet spot. Better to run to McDonalds, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell, because it is easier and faster to go out and buy your calories for $1 or so than it is to go to the grocery store, also filled with unhealthy products (watch the movie Food, Inc. for more information). The fact is, you can go buy chicken or a hamburger, usually on the dollar menu for $1. You can buy your BEEF for $1.00. That’s a great price! But is it healthy? Shouldn’t you be paying more?
So after years and years of eating this garbage, which has absolutely no nutritional value or good energy, the body begins to realize it has no real nutrition and people begin to get sick. After World War II, it seems that so much money was invested into figuring out how to make food products cheap but effective in making the body think it has nutrition. The person who becomes sick ends up going to the hospital, driving up health care costs, and then paying so much money for pills each month.
One pill begins to give the person side effects. The doctor then gives that person another pill to take care of those side effects, while the person is still taking the original pill. Aren’t the side effects a way of telling a person’s body: “Hey this is poison. The reason you have these side effects is because I’m trying to warn you and help you to remove this poison from your system.”
The person continues taking more pills for different side effects. They end up taking a pill for just about everything. They find out they cannot afford it. So medicare or medicaid kick in and the government helps out by supplying the money, pouring billions more into the corrupted business of pharmaceuticals. These pills were never meant to cure anything, but rather just be a way of helping a person continue to their habits of eating unhealthy, getting through life, and waiting to die.
This is the fact of life, the fact of the United States, the truth about America. There is no escaping the system. What healthy food is there? Everything is “regulated” by the FDA. The food happens to be very unhealthy, yet is boasted as “FDA approved.” How do they continue to get away with it? How is food and drink that contains way too much sugar allowed to be released to the public?
Obviously, something is not right. As I stated in a previous post, Coca Cola and Pepsi spend 3 BILLION DOLLARS a year on advertising. How much do they have to spend a year to pay off those who will approve their product and keep their mouth shut and how long has this been going on? People are getting their profit and allowing everything non-healthy for the public to consume.
Those born with great metabolisms and bodies who can handle it do not suffer as much, but those who were not usually show the results immediately. Eventually, as age goes on, the body will eventually show the health of everybody eventually.
That is the FDA for you. We can trust them to an extent where we know we are not consuming rat poison directly, but we cannot trust them to say that we are eating healthy food. We cannot even trust the labels we read. A story a while ago had released that most TV dinners that are microwavable under report the calories actually contained inside one of those meals. I wish there was some form of the system we could trust, but we can only trust ourselves.
I would say the healthiest thing you could possibly eat is that which you might find on a farm: not corn, but eggs. I wish milk was the same too, but looking at whole milk, that is loaded with too much sugar. You might be able to get away with drinking 1% milk.
If we cannot trust the FDA about what to eat and what is healthy for us, than who can we trust?
And as far as the FDA’s stance on marijuana… that’s another story. Fortunately, as of 2015 and beyond, the government has been somewhat more relaxed on its position of cannabis, but at the federal level, it is still not where it could be. Beam me up Scottie, there’s no intelligent life here. When we have finally developed the understanding and the ability to do scientific study and yet it is blocked by “authority” and government and religion. Makes me sad to call myself a human being living on this Earth. I thought the whole purpose of human existence was to understand ourselves as much as possible and the world around us? Especially for the advancement of human society.
But as long as it comes in pill form, mixed in a lab, and is taxed in some way, the FDA will allow for scientific study – the testing of human guinea pigs on trial studies examining the effects of millions of prescription drugs, even if it kills them, and they will certainly approve that with no problem.
Welcome to the United States.
