We all love and admire the parents in our lives, but not everyone understands or wants to be a part of parenting culture.
A new study is showing parents what people without kids in America find endearing about them, and actions/words that aren’t.
Key findings:
Non parent respondents said the most irritating parent phrases are: “You’re not a parent, so you wouldn’t understand”, “You think you’re tired now, just wait until you have kids!”, You’re missing the greatest joy in life.”
The worst parent social media posts to non-parents include: #1- telling kids’ personal business, #2- sharing too many photos, #3- bragging about their kids.
69% of non-parents say baby talk when speaking to children is annoying (68% of future parents say they won’t use baby talk with children).
28% of non parents say social media sharing has become so unbearable that they’ve unfriended, unfollowed, muted, or blocked someone because of posting too much about kids.
“Cuddles,” “dolly,” and “night-night” are America’s favorite baby talk words.
