Highlighted Findings:
88% of Americans have worked at a small company with no designated HR person or even department.
Of those who work in small companies, 47% say their company’s HR structure is unprofessional.
- Poor handling of benefits & compensation is the #8 reason employees say their HR structure is unprofessional.
In general, 43% don’t feel like they can confide in their HR.
- Compensation information is the #2 area employees are the most concerned about regarding privacy.
- Having a high salary is the last reason Americans are staying at the small company they are working for.
Compensation & Financial Benefits is the #3 HR area, small business employees say their company is lacking in.
