When it comes to working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s not just a new work routine employees are adjusting to. They’re also creating new normals within their family unit – including with their pets.
A new study by Lombardo Homes found that while many view their pet as a source of emotional support during these trying times, it’s not all smooth sailing. In fact, more than half have had their workday interrupted by a pet.
Highlights include:
- 58% have been interrupted by a pet while trying to work from home
- 42% have gotten frustrated with or annoyed by a pet during quarantine
- Nevertheless, 94% lean on their pet for emotional support and 42% have considered adopting another
Take a look at the full report, which includes insights into how COVID-19 is impacting employees and a breakdown of which cities are looking to adopt the most. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to use the data for a story.
