[Report] 1 in 3 Americans Want Self-Care Products for Christmas
The days are now limited for holiday shopping and for those still hung up on what to get, we do know one thing; Americans love to buy self care products. According to a new survey, 1 in 3 Americans want beauty and wellness products for Christmas.
For those still in need of gift ideas, the survey found the top beauty priorities for women are skin care, hair products, and haircuts and color. For men, haircuts top the list, followed by supplements/protein powders, and gym memberships.
This also means the New Year will be here before we know it. Whether you’re planning to ramp up your own self care in 2023 or cut back because of rising costs, you won’t be alone either way:
- Nearly 1 in 6 spend more on beauty and wellness than they can afford
- 3 in 5 Americans say inflation impacts their decision whether or not to spend money on their appearance
- 17% plan on gifting beauty and wellness products for the holidays
The survey, found adults spend an average of $722 on their appearance each year. Not surprisingly, women spend a bit more ($877) than men do ($592) on their looks.
