[Report] 1 in 4 Americans Think Sports Betting Can Be a Way to Make a Living
Sports betting continues to be one of the most talked-about topics across the country as more and more states legalize online sportsbooks.
As this trend continues, a new report reveals nearly half of Americans are concerned about the ease of gambling from their phones. 72% believe sports betting is becoming more socially acceptable, but many are keeping their wagers a secret.
- Nearly 1 in 4 don’t tell their loves ones how much they gamble
- More than half of Americans are concerned betting will lead to an addition, and 35% know someone with a gambling addiction
- 2 in 5 are worried sports betting could make them go into debt
Despite the unease, Americans are placing bets everywhere and anywhere. 1 in 5 have placed a sports bet at work, while 1 in 6 have placed a bet on the toilet! A quarter of Americans think sports betting can be a way to make a living!
