AirBNB Host Trust
We’ve all heard Airbnb “horror” stories—hidden cameras, scary host encounters, etc..-but are these real fears or rare occurrences?
To try and find out, we surveyed 2,000 Airbnb users about their feelings about hosts, security and personal space. Here’s what we found:
- 58% of Airbnb users are worried about hidden cameras in an Airbnb unit; 11% have uncovered one!!
- 42% of Airbnb users have researched their host online before deciding to rent from them
- 52% of Airbnb users are worried about the host having access to the building while they stay there
- 1 in 4 people prefer their host to be the same gender
