Wrapping Your Packages and Parcels Properly
Multiple things are needed to be kept in mind while wrapping a package, let us say which things or material will need that perfect wrapping. For that absolute packing first, you have to choose between single or double layer quality boxes with accurate shape that will fully cover your product. If there is a delicate product in box then you need to add cushioning material to prevent movement of the item.
Bottom and top both the parts should be layered with packaging peanuts and air pillow to give additional strength during transit. After choosing box and filling cushioning material in it, the next important thing is proper taping of the box. The best method for taping a box is to apply H Taping method, it completely close the parts of boxes that could be opened easily. You have to apply H taping in both upward and downward of the box.
The packaging of parcel is almost completed, the next important step is to imply proper labeling. If the parcel contains heavy material than you have to add “Heavy Label” on it. Moreover, add label carefully on packaging instead of fragile item. Last thing you need to do is to add proper address, so it can be delivered to its desired place.
Packaging materials like cardboard boxes, packaging peanuts, bubble wrap etc provides your parcel extra strength and make it properly wrapped. Tips To Wrapping And Packaging Your Parcels
Boxes are the most common and suitable tool used to pack your products, as it is the most convenient packaging tool to use for all products, as the different range of sizes, shapes, materials, and accessories are available to strengthen and secure them.
It is important that the box size and quality is appropriate for the item being transported as under filled boxes can become crushes whilst over-weight cartons can easily break open. The box must have sufficient strength plus the necessary space to carry the item as well as the protective internal packaging.
SINGLE WALL BOX
This type of box is only suitable for lightweight and non-fragile products.
DOUBLE WALLED BOX
Double walled boxes should be used for heavier items.
Note: A good method for providing additional strength to a box is by lining the base and sides with cardboard.
INSTRUCTION FOR PACKAGING SINGLE BOX
Ensure the box is new, rigid, robust, and in good condition.
At least 5 cm of cushioning material placed on the bottom of the box. Some items such as fragile or heavy goods irregular shapes or metal objects will require more cushioning to provide additional protection during transit.
Cushioning and filler materials like bubble wrap, packaging peanuts, and air pillow, etc. offer limited protection for heavy metal items.
REFINFORCED PACKING INSTRUCTIONS
Place cushioning material such as polystyrene chips at the bottom of the corrugated box.
Wrap the items individually with cushioning material such as bubble wrap and center it in the carton.
To restrict product movement use more filler such as crumpled newspaper or more polystyrene chips.
Close and tape the inner box using the H taping method refer to ‘SealingPackagines’ section.
Finally any void spaces with more cushioning material at the bottom, round the sides and top.
Again use the H taping method for sealing your package.
