The iPhone X
The iPhone, 10 years old and what a revolutionary product. Some tech experts predicted a crash and burn when the 1st Generation model was released, and some blissfully predicted the success it’s had.
Thanks Tim Cook for the new iPhone 8 and X (still to be released…) but most importantly, thank you to the legend himself Mr Steve Jobs. The iPhone has had a fantastic journey so far, producing some of the most revolutionary technology we’ve seen in mobile handsets – let’s not forget the 1973 Motorola that even had it’s on carry bag.
Can we also take a second to appreciate the revolution of Siri… Siri is a portable (and pocketable) virtual personal assistant. She has a speech-recognition module which works out what you’re saying, and then a natural language parser combs through your words to work out what you’re trying to do.
The visual from musicMagpie shows us how funny and spookily accurate some of the predictions were, and how far off some of the most respected technology journalist have been over the years (don’t take it to heart).
