In last 25 years, production has increased by 39.5% which clearly indicates the growing demand of glass packaging. 87% of the Europeans prefer glass. If we talk about recycling then here is another interesting point – 70% of the glass bottles are collected annually for recycling. Using glass rather than plastic drastically reduces landfill. It also saves energy on plastic’s ineffective recycling procedure.
Recycled glass uses 40% less energy than manufacturing new glass. Glass is usually more expensive than plastic packaging but it’s a one-time investment and it saves you money in the long run.
