With the arrival of November this week, many are looking ahead to the holidays and scheduling their holiday travel plans.
A new report is revealing 2 in 3 Americans plan on traveling this holiday season. Highlights include:
- 35% are worried about delays and cancellations during holiday travel
- Travelers are budgeting $2,005 for holiday travel, 45% will use points and rewards to save
- 44% are traveling for Thanksgiving, 84% are traveling in December

Some are trying to avoid delays and misconnections by going direct. 3 in 4 are willing to pay more to fly direct and 62% are willing to pay more to sit with family members while flying. Nearly 1 in 3 refuse to fly certain airlines due to bad experiences.
And some airports are worse than others. Take a look at the full report which includes an analysis of U.S Department of Transportation data to determine the busiest U.S. airports and those with the most delays and cancellations.
